Our commitment
The SEND Accountability Project Ltd is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible. We want everyone — including disabled people, parents, carers, school staff and council teams — to be able to use this platform.
This website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. These are the internationally recognised standards for accessible websites.
What you should be able to do
On this website you should be able to:
- Read all text clearly, with strong colour contrast
- Zoom in up to 400% without losing content or function
- Move around the whole site using only a keyboard
- Use the site with a screen reader
- Use the site on a phone, tablet or computer
- Understand every link and button from its wording
How we keep this site accessible
We:
- Write in plain English and keep sentences short
- Use clear headings and a logical page structure
- Make sure interactive elements can be reached and used by keyboard
- Keep colours within accessible contrast ratios
- Label forms and controls clearly
- Review accessibility whenever we add new features
Known limitations
We are honest about what still needs work:
Card payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe, on its own hosted checkout pages. Stripe manages the accessibility of those pages.
Some published framework documents are provided as PDF files. Older PDF files may not work perfectly with screen readers. If you need any document in a different format, contact us and we will provide it.
Feedback and contact
If you find any part of this website hard to use, or you need information in a different format (for example large print, easy read, or an accessible document), please tell us. We will respond within 5 working days.
Email: datalead@thesendaccountabilityproject.org.uk or director@thesendaccountabilityproject.org.uk — Telephone: 07989 876565.
Enforcement
If you are not happy with how we respond to an accessibility concern, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which advises on the Equality Act 2010.
